Medford Trio Invades Wegmans To Prey On Patrons: Police

Three people worked as a team to distract an elderly grocery shopper and steal her wallet before attempting to target another shopper, officials say.

The suspects stole the woman's wallet around 3:15 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 27, according to the Medford police. Police released grocery store surveillance footage of the incident. 

The theft occurs around timestamp 3:15, the Medford Police Department told Daily Voice. 

3 suspects ( 2 male, 1 female ) distract an elderly female inside of Wegmans and steal her wallet. The suspects commit a second distraction theft on a woman outside of Wegmans in the parking lot. Anyone who can ID the suspects please contact Detective Mike Pellegrino at 781-391-6767 ext. 3244

Video footage also showed the suspects staking out the parking lot to look for their next victim.
